Sunday 14th December

Christmas is a time when we get together to celebrate with our families and friends. However, it can also be a difficult time, when we want to remember those we’ve lost and keep them close to our hearts. Our special Light up a Life Appeal can help you to do this. It’s a unique way to remember the life of a loved one and to join with hundreds of others in the community who want to share a special message with someone they love.

By taking part in Light up a Life, you’ll not only be celebrating the life of someone close to your heart; you’ll also be helping the Hospice to reach out to all those that need us.

There are two ways that you can get involved with Weston Hospicecare’s Light up a Life Appeal this Christmas.

Light a lantern for your loved one
1. Our Light up a Life celebration where hundreds of lanterns are lit in our Hospice garden in December. Each lantern represents a friend or relative who is no longer with us. You can become part of the magic by dedicating a Lantern of Life to your loved one. You can also make your dedication more personal by adding a special message and photo that will be displayed on the lantern as it shines.

2. The Book of Remembrance is for those who would like to remember someone in a more private way, you can write your personal dedication in our Book of Remembrance. This special book will be displayed at the Hospice and online at www.westonlightupalife.org.uk so you can view it any time you wish. View dedications from 2011, 2012 and 2013 here. The December date of our 2014 appeal will be confirmed later in 2014.
