Consultant in Palliative Medicine (Ref: CPC-WHC)

Salary: NHS Consultant

Hours: 5-10 PA plus on-call commitment

Our services provides care via community nurse specialists, a 10 bedded Inpatient Unit, day hospice, out-patient and bereavement care. These services are provided by a multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for a Consultant in Palliative Medicine or an appropriately experienced Speciality Doctor to provide medical support to the multi-disciplinary team. There may be some flexibility within the hours and the job plan and we would encourage any potential candidates to contact us to discuss this further. The post holder would join the on call rota.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a shift/rota basis
Salary:
 Weston Hospicecare Band 5

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to complement the current team of highly skilled nurses. This role will be based in our 10 bedded In-patient Unit with the opportunity to work in the community team.

The post will be a permanent position working a variety of shifts to cover a 24 hour period and you will be expected to work night duty, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Ideally you will have had experience working with patients within palliative care or Oncology, however, if you consider yourself able to deliver high quality patient care, had recent acute care experience and have a keen interest in palliative care we would like to hear from you.

Appointment to this post is subject to an Enhanced DBS certificate.

Weston Hospicecare provides care for local people who are living with life limiting illnesses. We are currently looking for Registered Nurses to join our team of highly skilled bank nurses. Our bank nursing staff cover our 10 bedded In-patient Unit, Day Hospice and Community nursing team on a variety of shifts to cover a 24 hour period during periods of sickness or holiday.

Bank Staff - Retail Team

Salary:  £6.98 per hour

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, customer orientated and committed people to join our team of bank workers providing cover in our shops which are located in Weston-super-Mare and surrounding towns/villages.  Our Bank staff are responsible for the day-to-day running of a shop in the absence of the permanent shop manager which will include accepting and pricing donated goods, manage the shop team of paid and unpaid staff, creative and effective merchandising and display within the shop, submitting daily/weekly and monthly returns within the agreed timescales, and ensuring the general upkeep of the shop.

Knowledge of the charity sector and supervisory experience is required together with the ability to work as part of a team. These roles have a need for high levels of flexibility, as you may be asked to cover in the event of holidays or sickness at very short notice.

Bank Van Driver

Salary:  £6.70 per hour

Due to the continued success of our network of charity shops we are looking for additional bank van drivers who are enthusiastic, flexible, friendly and personable. You will collect and deliver goods (including furniture) from our shops, warehouse and customers’ homes.  The role will involve driving a light commercial vehicle and lifting reasonably heavy loads and therefore you will need to have a driving licence.
