Fundraising for Weston Hospicecare can be a fun and rewarding experience for children and young people.  Through assemblies and talks our fundraisers can help to gently introduce the topic of caring for people who are unwell, as well as introducing fun activities which generate much needed support for the charity.

Primary Schools, Pre-schools and Nurseries

Our Ollie & Polly Appeal encourages children to think about being helpful to their friends, neighbours and families and through a range of fun activities, to raise much needed funds for Weston Hospicecare. The appeal also encourages children and their families to think about recycling and re-using items through the ‘Don’t dump it, Donate it’ campaign which encourages them to bring a bag of unwanted clothes, toys or similar items to school and donate them to the Hospice.

Secondary Schools & Colleges

For older children we run an Enterprise Challenge which gives children and young people a start-up fund and encourages them to turn it into as much money for the Hospice as they possibly can – perfect for your budding entrepreneurs and apprentices!

Of course, we love to work with schools in whatever way you choose, so if you have a different idea, that’s fine with us!
