Our extensive warehouse on Weston Industrial Estate supports our network of 17 shops and relies heavily on a large team of volunteers to make it run like clockwork.

Furniture Operations Administrator
Role Summary:
To assist with calls received to our new Furniture Collection Line.
Main Tasks:
Answering telephone calls promptly and clearly, clarifying items are suitable for collection; planning and completing paperwork for Van Driver’s collections and deliveries; data input; photocopying; general office duties as required.
Online Trading Volunteer
Role Summary:
Assist online trading manager to raise vital funds by selling items on eBay, Amazon and other online sales platforms.
Main Tasks:
Identify and research donated collectable/valuable items to sell online, photograph and present items to be listed, load items to online sites, deal with queries from potential buyers, safely package and distribute items.
Stock Allocation Specialist (S.A.S.) Volunteer
Role Summary:
Specialised sorting and allocation of sellable items for onward dispatch to our shop network.
Main Tasks:
Sort initial donations, take out unsellable items and consider recycling, sort items into categories, stack items in relevant area, review lists of stock required by shop managers, pick items for onward dispatch to relevant shop.
Driver’s Mate Volunteer
Role Summary:
Assist van driver with collections and deliveries.
Main Tasks:
Loading and unloading vehicles, making collections and deliveries between our shops, customers and our warehouse.
Van Driver Volunteer
Role Summary:
Assist with collections and deliveries.
Main Tasks:
Driving 3.5 tonne vehicle with a tail lift, loading and unloading vehicles, collections and deliveries to shops, customers and our warehouse, checking suitability of donations, delivering waste to recycling centre.
Collectables Volunteer
Additional Information / Requirements:
Based at the Hospice Business Hub, Lynx Crescent, BS24 9DJ – to lend your expertise on any type of valuable or collectable items you have knowledge of in order to enable our Online Trading team to maximise the value of donated goods at auction. Particular help needed with books and/or stamps.
